We all know that exercise is the “right” thing to do. However doing the right thing is not always easy.
Aerobic exercise: takes place when the muscles use oxygen in the blood along with fats and glucose. This also involves increased heart rate and creates respiration endurance. Examples of aerobic exercise include jogging, brisk walking, swimming, dancing, hiking, skating, bicycling and even mowing to name a few.

It is suggested that we should include at least 3 -30 minute aerobic workouts per week. However, all people are different and unique and this plan should be achieved wisely and in the way that best fits the individual. As fitness increases, a person can decide to increase the frequency or intensity of exercise and the type chosen.
Energy building exercises are geared toward creating Chi or (Qi) in the body which is a balanced energy flow througout the body.
Hatha yoga, and T'ai Chi chuan are examples of this type of exercise that increases strength, vitality, attention and endurance.

Anaerobic exercise or Muscle strengthening produces energy without oxygen. It uses Carbohydrates for fuel in order to get the energy needed to perform the exercise.
Muscle strength is necessary for living life and preventing injuries.
It is attained by using weight that is heavy enough to create a challenge to the body.
Muscle endurance and definition is acheived by using ligher weights and doing 30-50 reps.
Heavier weights and lower reps creates more strength and increase muscle size.
